Kelly Woods

Born and raised on Maui, Kelly has always fostered a deep connection with Hawaii’s nature and wildlife. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Hawaii, Kelly embarked on a journey dedicated to the preservation of Hawaii’s diverse ecosystems. Initially beginning her career in wildlife rehabilitation, Kelly realized that to save wildlife on a larger scale, she would need to dive in to the world of conservation enforcement. In 2020, she was hired on as a Conservation and Resources Enforcement Officer with the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources. Kelly now spends her days as a guardian of Hawaii’s precious lands and waters, enforcing regulations to safeguard the environment for future generations. During free time, Kelly and her partner of 10 years work at their New York style pizzeria in North Kohala. When not working either job, she can be found walking her dogs, hiking, fishing, swimming and spending time with family at the beach.
