Devon Woodward is the Captain of the Global Airborne Observatory, a highly modified Dornier 228-202 aircraft. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot Licence and has worked as a commercial pilot for eight years. He has been captain of this type of aircraft for four years. He joined the GAO (formerly known as the Carnegie Airborne Observatory) in 2013.
